The tour will start with a visit to the birthplace of the
Portuguese nation - the city of
Guimarães, the first capital of Portugal,
chosen by our first king, Afonso Henriques. After a visit to the
sacred hill of the
castle, it will be time to have a look
at Dukes of Bragança
Palace and to other references that made UNESCO
consider this town as a World Heritage
Site. The tour will continue to
Braga, the oldest religious capital of
Portugal. Braga´s Bom Jesus
Sanctuary is a place that couldn't be avoided
and all because of its singularity. The 1001 steps that the
pilgrims climb up to the top of Bom Jesus are one of the most
glorious stairways in Portugal. After a visit to these landmarks of
faith in Portugal, we'll take you to the
millennium-old historical center of
Braga with the oldest
cathedral in the country.
